Weil Representations of SL*(2, A) for a Locally Profinite Ring A with Involution

We construct, via a complex G-bundle space, a Weil representation for the group G = SL*(2, A), where (A, *) is a locally profinite ring with involution. The construction is obtained using maximal isotropic lattices and Heisenberg groups.
