In many cases, the regularities in these patterns can be brought to light through a statistical approach. Aiming to highlight the power of quantitative research in the fields of humanities and arts, this article describes three applications of statistical techniques of multivariate analysis in Design. The third one is presented in more detail, addressing a relevant and contemporary challenge, contributing to the generation of more efficient and inclusive interfaces for search systems in sign languages. Keywords: Multivariate statistics, design, deaf people, search systems. MSC: 62H30; 51. [ Fulltext-pdf (1100 KB)] |
