Convex Surfaces with Planar Polar Sets and Point-Source Shadow-Boundaries

Generalizing certain characteristic properties of ellipsoids, we describe all convex hypersurfaces in the n-dimensional real space, possibly unbounded, whose polar sets and point-source shadow-boundaries satisfy planarity conditions.
